Unchosenis unique in using film to raise awareness of
modern day slavery in the UK and Ireland.
"The more awareness there is, more victims will be identified and perpetrators prosecuted."
SInce 2008 we have partnered campaigns in local communities around the UK, to audiences of front line professionals, the general public and young people.
At each campaign we screen a selection of short films covering sexual exploitation, domestic servitude, forced criminality and forced labour, followed by a Q&A with local anti-trafficking professionals.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING SHORT FILM COMPETITION
In 2013, we launched the first Unchosen Human Trafficking Short Film Competition, based on true British and Irish case studies. It is the shortlisted films from this competition that we screen at our events and also disseminate to our partners.
"Watching an Unchosen film brings clarity and understanding to the issue of human trafficking in a way that the written word can't. It's like shining a bright light on a subject that had previously only been visible in the shadows." Anne Read, Anti trafficking Coordinator, The Salvation Army
